Duysevi Mirza Karan Miyar "Sevi" is an Educator, Author, Educational Leader, and Advocate ( Born April 6, 1968 ) in Istanbul, Turkey. Attended high school at the American School of Kuwait. Holds a bachelors degree in Education from Istanbul University. She is a doctoral student in the Educational Technology program at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Currently a public school teacher in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system. Candidate of District 4 of the School Board of Miami Dade County, Miami, Florida. During 2003 - 2006 she was a teacher at the Bob Graham Education Center. Thereafter, she served as a Curriculum Development and Support Specialist at the Division of Bilingual Education in Miami Dade County Public Schools District, and currently holds the position of High School Language Arts Teacher for the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESL) or (ESOL) department, and as the Educational Excellence School Advisor Committee (EESAC) Chairperson at Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School.
